Every month, as a group, we all meet up to go over our current skills, and complete different training sessions to help avoid skill fade. This meeting, Kuldip invited Dr Matt Woods to attend our session. Matt is an Intensive Care Consultant for East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS). In his spare time, he goes out in an FRV, and attends the highest priority calls, which need the assistance of clinicians with higher skill sets.
Dr Matt Woods, kindly came to our meeting and did a session around what EMICS do, and how we can support them if we come across them whilst on shift. It was a fascinating and informative session, which was also streamed on Microsoft Teams, so others could get involved if they could not attend in person.
